IL BRUTTO

Restaurant & Lifestyle Photography, East Austin

Il Brutto is a neighborhood Italian restaurant on East 6th Street that somehow manages to feel like a party and a local hangout at the same time. The food is serious, the room is loud in the best way, and the brief was to make images that actually captured that. Not polished and hushed, but alive.

We shot with a styled, editorial eye: the handmade pasta, the carafe of natural wine, the particular glow of a Friday night in full swing. The goal was imagery that felt specific to this place rather than interchangeable with any other restaurant shoot.
